For many students, the dream of a college degree is not only about education—it’s about building a foundation for a successful future, including the possibility of homeownership, financial stability, and community leadership. The Bluegrass REALTORS® Community Education Scholarship is opening the door for that future with up to 10 scholarships valued at $2,000 each for graduating seniors in the Class of 2026.
This scholarship is not just financial aid—it’s an opportunity to reflect on one of the most important milestones in the American dream: owning a home.
🎓 Who Is Eligible?
This scholarship is open to:
- High school seniors graduating in 2026
- Students who will attend a Kentucky college, university, or trade school
- Applicants from eligible Kentucky counties within the Bluegrass REALTORS® service region
- Students passionate about building their future—whether through business, real estate, trades, or community development.
- 🔔 Even though preference is given to students majoring in business, real estate, or trade programs—PLEASE still apply even if that’s not your major! Preference doesn’t mean requirement. Many scholarships choose well-rounded applicants based on leadership, community service, and potential. Don’t count yourself out—let them count you in! 🪶✨
✍️ Essay Topic
Applicants will write a brief essay (approximately 300 words) on:
“What is the importance of homeownership / value of owning a home?”
This essay gives students the chance to share their perspective on financial independence, community impact, generational wealth, and the emotional connection to owning a home.
